I’m working on a graphic novel that will use both prose and what I call ‘story paintings’ – images which sequentially tell a tale. This series includes color oil paintings and black and white acrylics. The paintings range in size from 30 X 42 inches to 84 X 84 inches. They are narrative and serve two functions. They stand alone as paintings but also will be published in book format for the graphic novel. The images here are examples of some of my very early ideas. The book explores the legacy of war and debilitating illness over three generations. The book will be out in 2024.
